GiveWP Connector for Jetpack CRM

What is GiveWP?

GiveWP is a free donation plugin for WordPress. It lets you easily collect donations from site visitors. Now, you can connect your GiveWP donation forms to Jetpack CRM and utilise the many benefits of running your own CRM.

While immensely popular for non-profits, there are plenty of other use cases as well. If you’re a plugin developer you can use donations through GiveWP as a way to fund your next product build. You might be planning a website re-design and reach out to your readers to help donate towards the cost of the re-design. You might allow avid readers of your blog to thank you with a tip.

For anything you can think of that might need a donation system, GiveWP and Jetpack CRM gives you a quick and easy setup.

How do I get GiveWP and Jetpack CRM working together?

When you activate the GiveWP Connector feature in Jetpack CRM, it will automatically start collecting donor and donation information into your Jetpack CRM. Simply install and activate the Jetpack CRM and GiveWP plugins on your WordPress site, then go to Jetpack CRM > Core Modules to enable the GiveWP Connector module.

You can learn more about enabling core modules here.

What happens after a donation through GiveWP is made?

When a GiveWP donation form is submitted, Jetpack CRM takes this information and adds or updates the donor’s contact profile in the CRM. It also creates a new transaction linked to their profile so you can manage everything in one place.

Importing donations to GiveWP will automatically pass through to the CRM. Also, if you update a donation’s status, the CRM transaction status will adjust accordingly.

Note: the Jetpack CRM GiveWP module does not currently import pre-existing donators or donations. It only imports donors and donations made after the GiveWP module is enabled.

Didn’t this exist as a standalone extension?

A long time ago, we had a standalone extension (Give to ZBS CRM Connector), but hadn’t updated in some time, so we retired it while we discussed its future. We ultimately decided it was best to do a ground-up rewrite of the code, and we moved it into the core Jetpack CRM plugin to make it easier for our users to get up and running.

If you still have the old standalone extension installed, go ahead and toss it in the bin.
