Join a lively, progressive live music venue and pub hosting 800+ bands a year. Crowbar is a 500 capacity venue with a front bar, beer garden and kitchen looking for a Venue Manager experienced with live music venues, events, and food and beverage.

Roles:

  • Weekly management and preparation of venue operations.
  • Maintain and implement operating policies and procedures.
  • Liaising with bookings, marketing and management teams on all events, implementing food & drink promotions and activations.
  • Hiring, training, management and mentoring of team members, maintaining a safe workplace and complying to OLGR regulations.
  • Maintain high standards of food and beverage quality, customer service, cost control and venue presentation.
  • Maintaining positive relationships with artists and their teams, striving to put on a successful event for the venue and everyone involved. 
  • Create drink strategies and menu development with suppliers and management.
  • Financial reporting, working to achieve weekly and monthly budgets, developing and implementing cost control and revenue increases.
  • Stock control, stocktake, ordering. Reporting stock takes and ordering in line with budgets while ensuring staff are maintaining stock control in the bar and kitchen.
  • Forecast staffing needs for events to ensure optimum customer service and wage percentages.
  • Oversee repairs and maintenance of the building. 

Requirements:

  • Full time, 40-45 hours a week, availability Monday – Sunday
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a venue management role with live music or events.
  • A passion for live music and understanding the smooth operations of events for the venue, artists and audiences.
  • Skilled in problem solving and thinking outside-the-box.
  • Maintaining great communication and relationships with management, staff, event stakeholders, customers and suppliers.
  • Administration knowledge of operating systems, skilled in Google and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Customer service focused with a professional and positive attitude.
