Awww yeah! Okay, where do I start? World building! The world in Deadly Desires is fascinating. It's so deep. The more I read, the more I want to read more. The opening is just quality! I love Epsilon and everything comes together so fluidly - the music, sound design, voice acting , visuals and writing is on point and I'm here for it!
Then we move into the world of Limbo and we see a much more human (and at times dark) story of Loni just getting through this stage of their existence. So far I've got the main story arc done which was endearing and a great taster, as well as two of the more sinister endings (05 and 07). There is an amazing range between the different outcomes here. Your games have a great balance of quality, creativity and intrigue that is delightful to play.
Also going to check out Limbo Line now as I just need to know more about this world!
Ahh, man, you’re too kind x3 And honestly, reading this was like a little oasis of light in what was otherwise one hell of a miserable day yesterday, haha.
Basically, my PC is buggered AGAIN T_T Infinite BSOD loops >.> Seems to be an issue with the RAM, but it’s only like a month old T_T I spent all of yesterday trying to get it to work, but to no avail. Customer support looked over my photos & logs, but they just want me to send it in for repair. Now I’m gonna have to fight with the company for a refund cos this is the 2nd one they’ve sent me after the 1st was faulty and returned, I don’t really trust them to repair/replace it. I just want my money back at this point >.<
I naively thought maybe the issues with the 2nd one they sent would improve, but they've only gotten worse. They tried to tell me at one point that it was normal for it to hang/freeze while browsing Windows Explorer because having lots of RAM can sometimes mean processes like that are slower... that sounds kinda suspicious to me :(
But anyways, thank you for leaving such a nice comment that genuinely brightened up my day! :3

If you do end up checking out Limbo Line, I really hope it’s not broken somehow x3 I know back when it was first made, there were some issues that needed fixing, but afaik, everything worked after that, it’s just some of the loading times are insanely slow on some systems and I still don’t know why :(
I also worry that some of the elements outside of the game may have become defunct, haha. I know I used Twitter for something, and I’m guessing the profile has probably been deleted by now for inactivity >.< That’s only a teeny tiiiny part of a side quest type thingy though, haha.
Oh, and if you happen to know Inside No.9 well enough, you will probably recognise parts of plot in Limbo Line xD

hellooo ı just ended up finding the ''main story end'' XD and actually ım soooo happy that this story takes place in A Limbo !! ı already played Limbo game and ıt was amazing!! ^^ and once ı noticed there is a second game coming from same place ı immediately wanted to try the game ^^ !
ı guess saying spoiler alert from here for safety is a good choice so whoever wants to play this game with no tiny spoiler shouldn't really read under this writing :3
as for my thoughts ıts interesting that ım technically being ''myself'' and somehow affecting choices of someone else thanks to the project (ıf ı understood this right) same goes for Loni of course she is someone who has their own personality yet somehow ım ''helping'' her (in which she seems unaware?)
as for the Erys. To be honest ı do feel bad for him since things he just said was awful. being an ''escort'' seems like a nightmare to me since there is some type people who goes like ''ı pay you money so you have to do what ı say''.... It İS HORRİBLE so ı wanted to support him even tho ıt wont simply erase the things he had to endure. btw ı couldnt help but tried to get into the story little bit soo here comes my weird brain storm comes here
ı may be right or not but ı noticed that in the end of the game someone who was close to Loni's home was killed and Erys told Loni to not give him his name since ıt pays him more with ''suprise package '' at first ıt made sense but then ı remembered how Loni was actually suprised to see Erys in the Deadly desires company's escorts and Erys explanation was waaay too simple he didnt even say something like an explanation or he didnt show any proof of him being really the worker of deadly desires. he simply covered himself with ''well because ım THAT good'' which was a sus for me perhaps ı read into too much in this but then ı came up with an theory doting the two facts about him somehow seemingly hiding himself or his name also not very explaining his situation that how did he became an escort or how did he got permission and someone who was killed near to Loni's house which seems like their existance there wasnt too suprising?
so there is few theories ı had (they may have loopholes unfortunalety ı cant say ı actually collected everytihng to support them haha ;W;)
1- the person who just got killed by the Erys has perhaps died because of his somehow lack of self control of his.... hm power? ıdk or perhaps they were someone Erys know like perhaps they were Erys' next customer and perhaps Erys did kill them knowingly or because of they couldnt control the power they had ım not too sure
2- secondly maybe Erys wasnt the suprise package but he was looking for a way to see other possible canditates for him since for so long the ''customers'' he met didnt matched his wishes so perhaps whoever was coming ended up killed by him so he can replace himself on their behalf and meet the new person hoping that maybe he can get what he looks for.
both of them makes sense in their own way to me but since ı havent played all the ending ı can only assume things but ı dont think ı did a bad job trying to figure out everything with only one ending XD anyway ı will try to figure out other ways to get information about this game's story :3
and thank you so much for making this game ıt does have very interesting vibe (ı can actually feel how lonely and boring ıt can be just by looking at the place XD) Have a great daay ^^

Yep, you absolutely understood correctly that as a participant in Project Salvation, you are making choices that influence Loni's behaviour and outcomes without Loni really being aware of your guiding hands :3
And yeah, Erys doesn't exactly have the nicest of existences x3 The poor fella has had it rough >.< I'm glad you feel sorry for him somewhat for everything that he's been through cos I'm sure not everyone would feel bad for him considering some of the things he can end up doing x3 And it's debatable whether his circumstances can really excuse some of his behaviour, haha. But if you're on his good side, you don't have to worry about that stuff xD

XD ı guess ı was lucky to see his kind side and ım guessing he can be quiet dangerous ıf ı get in a bad ending ;w; oof. ı guess calling him a good guy is difficult yet ı do not find him horrible since he is at least not harmful to people who are nice to him (ıt can be seen as bare minimum kindness but yea ım still glad XD ) yet of course that doesnt justify his actions ıf he is choosing it with his will. well hopefully in the game ı can somehow find a way to get best ending since they are my favorite ones x3 ı still do like other ones too since they usually gives alot more deepness into the story.

Yeeeeah x3 I mean, if you stay on his good side, he’s adorable, haha. But yeah, you don’t wanna be on his bad side x3 Well, I mean, really, he hates violence, it’s just sometimes it’s unavoidable >.< and being mean to him or taunting him is just a bad idea xD
In the full game, I don’t know if any single ending could be considered the best one, but there are a handful that are on the cute/cosy/sweet side :3 So in a sense, there are multiple ‘good’ endings at least, haha. I guess there are probably a higher number of bad ones though x3 And some are just kinda neutral!
I was going to rest, but then I decided to join O2A2 Jam to make something quickly, which I’m hoping to release later tonight :D
Unfortunately, my PC is broken now :( Went to power it on yesterday and just got a cycle of different blue screens of death >.< I’ve had issues with it since it was delivered, so I’m just hoping I can get a refund! I don’t really want a repair/replacement, as this is already the 2nd one the company sent me cos the first one was faulty!!

Yeah, same T_T I can’t really do much work on my projects without a PC :( On the potato, I can at least type out replies and even some code, but I can’t test any project stuff in Unity because the potato can’t handle opening Unity projects >.<
Even typing on the potato is hard though cos the keyboard sucks x3 I guess I could try to set the potato up on my desk & plug in my USB keyboard, but I’d have to take my monitors off of the desk for the laptop to fit on it, and I don’t really have anywhere to put the monitors because of how tiny my room is, so it wouldn’t really work, haha.
Still engaging with customer support about the PC atm >.< Probably gonna be weeks before I get anywhere :(

I have some stuff that makes me kindaaaa suffering throughout the gameplay though, the loading time between each stage and the clunky skip function OTL

I WISH I knew how to make my games run better on all different kinds of systems, but sadly, I just don’t have the technical know-how at the moment :(
Everything seems to run fine on the PC that I make stuff on, no issues with load times and stuff whatsoever and it’s all nice and smooth, BUT… when I go to test my exported builds on the old family potato laptop which has pretty awful specs, most of my games take over 1 full minute just to reach the title screen after hitting the exe >.<”
What loads instantly on my PC can take over 2 minutes to load on the potato laptop T_T Like with the Lovestarved demo, it takes around 1 minute 40 just to load the title screen after backing out of the extras menu… and when load screens are reached during gameplay, it takes around 1 minute 20 to load the scene, then everything is smooth once it’s actually FINALLY loaded :(
One thing I definitely need to do is add an extra loading screen for backing out of the ‘extras’ & ‘credits’ menus, cos otherwise, it just makes it look like the game has frozen like it did in your video x3 It’s technically loading, but because I didn’t code it to actually display the loading screen since I didn’t know until it was too late that backing out of menus was gonna be so slow, it makes it look like it's frozen T_T I found out a few hours before launching the demo, so it was too late to update, haha. It won’t solve the fact that it’s so slow, but it will at least let players know that the game is loading xD
It’s super frustrating. I think I’m gonna have to ask some folks who are more knowledgeable than me what on earth I can do to improve how it runs on slower systems. Hopefully, someone will be able to give me some suggestions x3
With the skip function though, there might not be anything I can do at all about it cos all the code for how it works is built into the software I used to make the game (Naninovel), so I’m kinda just relying on it working >.<
But despite the clunkiness and slow loading, I’m glad you persevered and enjoyed the demo :D It still sucks that the issues are there in the first place though T_T haha.

I’m currently working on something super small for this year’s O2A2 Jam (it only lasts 10 days, submissions due by the end of this week!), but as soon as I’ve finished that, I’ll be straight back to working on finishing Lovestarved :D

It would be a dream come true to be able to make soundtracks for other people’s projects someday!

I really liked how, at least when controlled by the operator/me, Loni is very warm and gentle and Erys is very calm and melancholic. It gives their interactions a sweet and relaxed feel, despite the constant threat of Erys. So excited for the full game, I'm ready to give Erys all of my/Loni's love <3

Heck, I’m actually super relieved that you would describe it as “cute” because I’ve been panicking a bit that with all the warnings/triggers and the fact that I’ve said it’s horror/romance, that it might be seen the wrong way >.< or as though it’s a lot worse than it actually is!
Cos I feel like it’s hard to really show the sweet/cute side of a game that also has darker elements :(
I worry sometimes that it gets lost when I’m trying to describe a game, and that sucks because at the end of the day, it’s still a love story with sweet stuff in x3 It’s just there’s also some twisted stuff in there too, haha. And what you end up seeing is always gonna depend on each individual and the choices they make while playing.
In both the demo & the full game, it will be possible to have a completely cute and cosy romance with Erys without coming across much in the way of horror elements, haha. Heck, it’ll even be possible for the level of yandere-ness to be pretty low/soft depending on choices x3 But I have to put the warnings and stuff there because other choices can lead to some messed up stuff xD And the last thing I wanna do is accidentally hurt anyone >.<

both of them makes sense in their own way to me but since ı havent played all the ending ı can only assume things but ı dont think ı did a bad job trying to figure out everything with only one ending XD anyway ı will try to figure out other ways to get information about this game's story :3

Yep, you absolutely understood correctly that as a participant in Project Salvation, you are making choices that influence Loni's behaviour and outcomes without Loni really being aware of your guiding hands :3
And yeah, Erys doesn't exactly have the nicest of existences x3 The poor fella has had it rough >.< I'm glad you feel sorry for him somewhat for everything that he's been through cos I'm sure not everyone would feel bad for him considering some of the things he can end up doing x3 And it's debatable whether his circumstances can really excuse some of his behaviour, haha. But if you're on his good side, you don't have to worry about that stuff xD
I wish I could say more under a spoiler alert about your theories and stuff, but I better keep my mouth shut to avoid potentially giving anything away, haha. So I will keep my lips sealed for now x3 But hopefully, I'll be able to discuss more once the full game is out ^-^

XD ı guess ı was lucky to see his kind side and ım guessing he can be quiet dangerous ıf ı get in a bad ending ;w; oof. ı guess calling him a good guy is difficult yet ı do not find him horrible since he is at least not harmful to people who are nice to him (ıt can be seen as bare minimum kindness but yea ım still glad XD ) yet of course that doesnt justify his actions ıf he is choosing it with his will. well hopefully in the game ı can somehow find a way to get best ending since they are my favorite ones x3 ı still do like other ones too since they usually gives alot more deepness into the story.

Yeeeeah x3 I mean, if you stay on his good side, he’s adorable, haha. But yeah, you don’t wanna be on his bad side x3 Well, I mean, really, he hates violence, it’s just sometimes it’s unavoidable >.< and being mean to him or taunting him is just a bad idea xD
In the full game, I don’t know if any single ending could be considered the best one, but there are a handful that are on the cute/cosy/sweet side :3 So in a sense, there are multiple ‘good’ endings at least, haha. I guess there are probably a higher number of bad ones though x3 And some are just kinda neutral!
I was going to rest, but then I decided to join O2A2 Jam to make something quickly, which I’m hoping to release later tonight :D
Unfortunately, my PC is broken now :( Went to power it on yesterday and just got a cycle of different blue screens of death >.< I’ve had issues with it since it was delivered, so I’m just hoping I can get a refund! I don’t really want a repair/replacement, as this is already the 2nd one the company sent me cos the first one was faulty!!
So yeah, much stress was had yesterday x3 Now I’m just trying to get the O2A2 page together on the old potato laptop >.< But I’m guessing it’s gonna be a battle to get my money back for the broken PC :(

Yeah, same T_T I can’t really do much work on my projects without a PC :( On the potato, I can at least type out replies and even some code, but I can’t test any project stuff in Unity because the potato can’t handle opening Unity projects >.<
Even typing on the potato is hard though cos the keyboard sucks x3 I guess I could try to set the potato up on my desk & plug in my USB keyboard, but I’d have to take my monitors off of the desk for the laptop to fit on it, and I don’t really have anywhere to put the monitors because of how tiny my room is, so it wouldn’t really work, haha.
Still engaging with customer support about the PC atm >.< Probably gonna be weeks before I get anywhere :(

I WISH I knew how to make my games run better on all different kinds of systems, but sadly, I just don’t have the technical know-how at the moment :(
Everything seems to run fine on the PC that I make stuff on, no issues with load times and stuff whatsoever and it’s all nice and smooth, BUT… when I go to test my exported builds on the old family potato laptop which has pretty awful specs, most of my games take over 1 full minute just to reach the title screen after hitting the exe >.<”
What loads instantly on my PC can take over 2 minutes to load on the potato laptop T_T Like with the Lovestarved demo, it takes around 1 minute 40 just to load the title screen after backing out of the extras menu… and when load screens are reached during gameplay, it takes around 1 minute 20 to load the scene, then everything is smooth once it’s actually FINALLY loaded :(
One thing I definitely need to do is add an extra loading screen for backing out of the ‘extras’ & ‘credits’ menus, cos otherwise, it just makes it look like the game has frozen like it did in your video x3 It’s technically loading, but because I didn’t code it to actually display the loading screen since I didn’t know until it was too late that backing out of menus was gonna be so slow, it makes it look like it's frozen T_T I found out a few hours before launching the demo, so it was too late to update, haha. It won’t solve the fact that it’s so slow, but it will at least let players know that the game is loading xD
It’s super frustrating. I think I’m gonna have to ask some folks who are more knowledgeable than me what on earth I can do to improve how it runs on slower systems. Hopefully, someone will be able to give me some suggestions x3
With the skip function though, there might not be anything I can do at all about it cos all the code for how it works is built into the software I used to make the game (Naninovel), so I’m kinda just relying on it working >.<
But despite the clunkiness and slow loading, I’m glad you persevered and enjoyed the demo :D It still sucks that the issues are there in the first place though T_T haha.

That means a lot that you enjoyed the OST ^-^ Making music for my projects has very rapidly become my favourite aspect of game dev even though I’m self-taught and kinda just muddling along with it, haha. It would be a dream come true to be able to make soundtracks for other people’s projects someday!

There will be a few ways to stream or download the OST fairly soon, but right now, it’s only available in-game >.<
I plan to upload all the tracks currently in the game to my YouTube channel as soon as I can :3 It’s just I kinda neglected a lot of irl stuff while participating in the jam, so now I’m buried by it all, haha. I’m hoping to have them all uploaded by the end of the month though!

Buuuut, I plan to upload the OST to my YouTube channel when I get a chance! It just might take me a little bit because I’m swamped with other stuff to do at the moment so I can’t work on it right away >.<

I really liked how, at least when controlled by the operator/me, Loni is very warm and gentle and Erys is very calm and melancholic. It gives their interactions a sweet and relaxed feel, despite the constant threat of Erys. So excited for the full game, I'm ready to give Erys all of my/Loni's love <3
Ahh, that means so much that their interactions came across that way under those circumstances :3 That’s exactly the sort of atmosphere I was hoping to achieve, but I didn’t really have a way of knowing if I actually managed to get it across in the writing, haha. I’m so glad it turned out that way! I wanted to try and make a big distinction between their dynamic depending on who’s in control :D

Oh, I guess I should probably mention this since I don’t know how strict YouTube is with sensitive content x3 Even though there is no nudity or anything, there are some sound effects accompanying the writing that could potentially make it sound like porn >.< haha. You can turn them down/off by muting both Loni and SFX in the settings though, haha.

Heck, I’m actually super relieved that you would describe it as “cute” because I’ve been panicking a bit that with all the warnings/triggers and the fact that I’ve said it’s horror/romance, that it might be seen the wrong way >.< or as though it’s a lot worse than it actually is!
Cos I feel like it’s hard to really show the sweet/cute side of a game that also has darker elements :(
I worry sometimes that it gets lost when I’m trying to describe a game, and that sucks because at the end of the day, it’s still a love story with sweet stuff in x3 It’s just there’s also some twisted stuff in there too, haha. And what you end up seeing is always gonna depend on each individual and the choices they make while playing.
In both the demo & the full game, it will be possible to have a completely cute and cosy romance with Erys without coming across much in the way of horror elements, haha. Heck, it’ll even be possible for the level of yandere-ness to be pretty low/soft depending on choices x3 But I have to put the warnings and stuff there because other choices can lead to some messed up stuff xD And the last thing I wanna do is accidentally hurt anyone >.<
