BGIS 2024: Team XSpark Wins the BGMI Esports Tournament; Check the Final Rankings Here As Global Esports Grabs the Runner-Up Spot
Intense competition on the final day.
Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2024, the ongoing esports tournament for the popular mobile game - BGMI, just concluded after wrapping up its Grand Finals stage. As reported previously, Krafton India, the publisher of BGMI, organised an offline, on-ground LAN event for the BGMI 2024 Grand Finals at the HITEX Exhibition Centre in Hyderabad. After three days of competition, Team XSpark emerged as the tournament champions.
BGIS 2024 Grand Finals: Points Table
As evident from the points table at the end of the Grand Finals, Team XSpark grabbed the championship with an impressive 142 points. Global Esports claimed the runner-up position with 134 points, followed by Reckoning Gaming in third place with 132 points. Reckoning Esports Made quite a comeback on the final day, securing two Chicken Dinners in 18 matches.
The winning squad, Team XSpark, was awarded INR (₹) 60 lakh, while Global Esports received ₹30 lakh. Reckoning Esports and IQOO Soul finished in third and fourth place, respectively. Krafton India invited Abhinav Bindra - the first Indian Olympic gold medalist, to BGIS 2024 and donated ₹25 lakh to his foundation.
Considering the previous announcement, it looks like Krafton India made ₹25 lakh from selling Elite Passes for the tournament.
The total viewership of the Day 3 grand finals seems to have crossed the 4.3 million mark across all languages and types of streams at the time of writing.
