As a former home improvement, and home decor niche affiliate, what I loved about it was how easy it was to sell products that were deemed high-ticket items, such as sofas, and beds which sometimes go for upwards of $1000.
I was averaging about ~10% conversion rates on my clicks, so if you are also looking into getting into the home improvement niche, then here are some of the most trusted and well-known companies and websites you can promote on your blog.
A decent commission for homegoods affiliate program is generally around 7-10%, but usually it’s on the lower side 1-4$, but because of the high sale price, affiliate marketers can make $30 to a few hundred dollars in commissions on most furniture.
It’s also comparatively easy to sell furniture as long as you know how to write a good copy or make interesting videos and think creatively
Most people are looking for suggestions, ideas, and good designs to emulate in the home improvement niche, so Pinterest or Stories / Reels are suggested channels to promote any furniture affiliate products.
Recommended Affiliate Sites To Join
Most major online retailers should have their affiliate programs with their specific sign up process, but after working in affiliate marketing for over 9 years now, a game changer for me was realizing that I can actually get significantly better commissions or deals if I directly approach local brands and companies that I liked.
If the product itself is hard to find and not that accessible, you can add a markup of up to 30-40% and build a dropshipping store, which I do now instead of building affiliate websites.
However, for beginners or people who are interested in getting their feet wet, it might be a little daunting, so here are some of my most recommended HomeGoods affiliate program and networks to gain some experience.

Amazon Associates
You can find thousands upon thousands of furniture ranging from small to big, cheap to expensive on Amazon.
I used to be an affiliate in the home improvement niche for Amazon Associates back in 2020, when commissions were good, around 8%, however as of 2024, it’s 3%, so almost three times less, but as I mentioned furniture is relatively easy to sell especially on platforms such as Amazon because of the brand reputation and trust.
Their cookie lasts for only 24 hours though, which could be considered a con for a lot of people.
However, products that are $300-$1000 sell just as easily as products that are less than $100, as far as my experiences go with Amazon affiliates, with conversion rates hovering around 10%.
If you plan to sell high-ticket items that are worth more than $1000, it is possible, but it’s recommended to have in-depth knowledge of the products you are writing about because simple product descriptions and some opinions won’t cut it. People start to think a bit more around that price range and compare different products, vs when the furniture is less than $1000.

Input all your contact info, W8BEN or tax documents, and where you will receive your payments. You should be approved without any restrictions, but remember… you need to make three qualified sales via your affiliate links in 180 days to be fully accepted into the program.
Make sure to read their Terms & Conditions carefully, because if you download/save images onto your web host/website, you can be disqualified for using copyrighted material. Amazon can be a little strict with its policies.
Wayfair Affiliate Program
Wayfair is another platform that is very similar to Amazon and offers comparable merchandise and exciting top brands. However, it’s specifically geared towards home improvement and furniture, so you’ll find more options and selections specifically for the home decoration niche.
While Wayfair does not have the same level of brand recognition as Amazon, they are still well respected and trusted by mostly North American markets.
Commissions are relatively higher ranging between 5-7% and cookies last for 7 days, thus could result in higher commissions than Amazon.
Compared to Wayfair however, I did find Amazon’s post links and API capabilities better and easier to use than Wayfair, because Wayfair can be slightly more annoying and not as user-friendly as Amazon.

Target Affiliates
I am sure you guys have heard of Target… It’s a well-known brand in the U.S. and Canadian markets with thousands of stores in various cities.
You can find incredible value and a whole range of products in many different niches and categories, but like Amazon, their commission rates are on the lower end, ranging from 1-8%, generally 4-5% commission rate being the norm with a 7-day cookie policy. For outdoor and home improvement it is 5% of sale.
However, the good news is, compared to similar programs, that the more volume of products you sell, the higher your commission rate can go. For example
When you sign up as an affiliate you get updates from their newsletter and weekly promos or deals that you could promote to your audience. Statistically, for every 100, you are expected to earn $12 to $13.
If you prefer stability and consistency, then Target is a better choice compared to Amazon because Amazon has changed its commission rates many times over the past few years, while Target stayed rather consistent with decent conversion rates

Home Depot Affiliate Program
Home Depot is mainly geared towards fixer uppers or individuals who are interested in woodwork and generally like to get their hands dirty.
They sell products such as wood, drills, bolts, and various raw supplies that are required for fixing or constructing a home/woodwork.
If you will be promoting Home Depot’s products, usually it’s a better idea to have a home improvement or a construction YouTube channel because most people who are interested in buying planks, glue, paint, etc are DIY enthusiasts.
You can earn up to 8% on certain home decor products, 1% on appliances, and also CPA based commissions of up to $200 for qualified leads for any installation.
The cookie period for home decor products is 24 hours but for installation service, it’s 30 days.
Lowe’s Affiliate Program
Lowe’s is another home improvement and DIY brand that helps home owners build their dream homes. From installation service, and construction materials, to how-to guides, you have a lot of services and products that you can promote
Their affiliate commissions are slightly lower though, around 2% on most sales, so a little less than Home Depot, but they offer a bunch of creative ads, banners, and resources which you can use to build your audience.
I think their main advantage is the detailed how-to guides that are available for free. So whether you are learning home decor, interior design, or just selling, you have a good library of information at your disposal.

Etsy Affiliate Program
If you want to get a little casual with home fashions, Etsy is a better platform.
Their products can be handmade, and compared to Target, or Amazon, they have less of a corporate feel, so for a certain demographic of people who prefer to support individuals rather than corporations it might be a better platform to promote not only furniture but also small decoration items and goods.
However, one of the cons for being an Etsy affiliate is their limited stock.
Because some items are only sold in low quantities never to be seen again, there might be a situation where you write an amazing article or a review about a particular product, only for it to be unavailable for potential customers who want to buy it.
I suggest you check whether the seller or the profile is consistent with their supply and logistics before committing to any promotions.

CJ (Commission Junction) Affiliate
Formerly known as Commission Junction affiliate network, CJ is one of the largest and biggest affiliate networks out there.
You can find thousands of thousands of products ranging from digital goods to furniture and home decor. You can receive payments quickly within a few weeks, compared to the 1-2 month wait time of most home decor affiliate programs.
One of the things I love about working with and being an affiliate for CJ is their HUUGE database of products and services. I guarantee you that you will find almost anything there.
Their tracking and reporting tools for monitoring performance are some of the best out there as well with a modern design, so you will know whether your campaign is running profitably or whether you need to make some adjustments.
Their commissions vary based on what company or product you choose to promote on CJ, so you have quite a bit of flexibility. Some are as little as 3% while some others are 50%, or some offers might be CPA (Cost Per Action), etc. But you can make good money with CJ, and you don’t really have to worry about whether you will get paid or not because they are such an established network.

ShareASale
ShareASale is another popular affiliate network that is very similar to CJ, however, I do find the design and the overall look and feel of the website a bit outdated and something like in the early 2010s, but it’s a well respected and trusted network so not to worry.
Like CJ, there are thousands and thousands of products and offers you can choose from, with over 30,000 merchants who are registered on the platform.
While I don’t find the reporting, analytics, and affiliate marketing tools not on the same level as CJ, a lot of the registered merchants are in the home decor and home improvement niche.
Commissions can range from 4% to as high as 50%. It just would depend on what offer or product you choose to promote.
Cookie duration depends on the brand as well, but they deliver incredible 30-day cookie period for some offers, so relatively a longer timeframe for you to be credited for your sale.

Walmart Affiliate Program
If America could be summed up in one word, maybe it would be Walmart because it’s a giant retailer with a massive customer base that offers products significantly cheaper than regular prices.
You won’t necessarily find high-ticket items in Walmart, but more so mid-range priced appliances, tools, and home decor items.
Their commission structure is very similar to Amazon ranging from 1-4%, but because of its well-established brand, you won’t have any problems converting customers due to an instilled sense of trust and authority.
Plus, you get 72 hours of cookie duration compared to Amazon’s 24 hours, AND… you get an affiliate manager / support to help you sell and promote better.

Houzz Affiliate Program
We’ve mostly written about online e-commerce stores that mainly furniture, appliances, and what not, but Houzz does things a little differently.
They offer home remodeling, interior design, roofing, tiling, and many other services related to home improvement in addition to furniture and decor, which is a genius idea!
Houzz also has a platform / CRM specifically for professional contractors, providers, and marketers working in the home improvement niche. Their software is pretty user-friendly and looks great!
The commission rate is 5% for any sales you make through your affiliate link with 30-day cookie.

Bed Bath & Beyond Affiliate Program
If you are into home goods, supplies, and decoration items, then Bed Bath & Beyond might be something to look into.
Interesting note: Gregory Ortiz, one of the most well-known faces in the SEO industry back in the early days of SEO in the 2010s, used to work in Bed Bath & Beyond…
Going back to the topic.. you make 3% on each sale with 14 days of cookie duration, which is not bad for a large retailer like Bed Bath & Beyond.
They work with different affiliate networks, so you can join through CJ or other networks that they are partnered with. You also get an affiliate support team or a manager to help you sell more through their exclusive deals.

Furniture Affiliate Program Recap
There are plenty of affiliate programs for major online retailers in the home decor niche with comparable merchandise, but ultimately it’s up to you to choose which affiliate network you find better suited for you.
I’ve personally had great success with Amazon and similar platforms like Wayfair and Walmart due to their ease of use, capabilities of adding affiliate links, and wide range of exciting top brands.
However still, their commission rates are on the lower end now, so I would suggest ShareASale or CJ because they have better commissions and generally work directly with the brands and companies.
So you can easily make $20-$50 in commissions on a $100 purchase, IF… you know how to do affiliate marketing well and can build a following within the niche.
Make sure to choose a sub-niche that you are either knowledgeable about or have an interest in learning if you want to come across as genuine and authentic.
People don’t expect you to know everything, they just want someone who can understand their perspective and share their opinions and suggestions. So good luck and make that money!
