Expectations in Oxford are about as high as they have ever been with many saying that Ole Miss would even make a four-team College Football Playoff this year had that field not been expanded to 12 for 2024 and beyond. That’s thanks to a combination of a top-10 season in 2023, several top players returning from that squad and high-quality personnel coming through the portal to Ole Miss.
All of that enthusiasm has resulted in Ole Miss season tickets selling out. So, unless you had already secured one of those, it will be difficult to join in on the excitement at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.
However, it is easy to watch Ole Miss Rebels football games without cable. We’ll show you how.

What Channels Show Ole Miss Football Games?
Those who cheered on the Rebels in 2023 should note that the SEC’s television contracts have changed. For example, there will no longer be any games showcased on CBS. However, there will still be plenty of featured matchups on over-the-air television, on ABC.
The ESPN Family of Networks owns the rights to SEC games, which includes all conference battles as well as non-conference tilts hosted by league schools. That means that ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, and SEC Network are where nearly all Rebels games will be shown in 2024.
That said, there are two things to note, particularly if you do not want to miss even a single Ole Miss game.
First, the team’s season-opening contest with Furman, played at home in Oxford, will only be available online through a shared ESPN+/SEC Network+ stream. However, as long as you subscribe to a streaming service that offers the SEC Network, you will have complimentary access to that SECN+ live stream.
Also, Ole Miss’ third game is an away contest with Wake Forest. With the Demon Deacons an ACC team and hosting the game, that means that ACC television rights apply. This matchup will be broadcast on The CW, meaning that solely focusing on the ESPN Family of Networks will not suffice to watch every contest.
Where Can I Watch Ole Miss Football Games?
With the exception of the Wake Forest game, it will be easy to stream Ole Miss games online. That said, getting access to The CW to watch that matchup as well can also be easily done in many scenarios.
Fubo
Fubo offers ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, and SEC Network livestreams in its base Pro plan costing $79.99/mo. The plan includes a total of 150+ channels. Many viewers in select locations will also be able to watch The CW through Fubo.
See our Fubo review for all the details.
DIRECTV STREAM
DIRECTV STREAM‘s Entertainment plan, its lowest-priced one costing $79.99/mo, will grant you access to ABC, ESPN, and ESPN2 while its Choice plan costing $108.99/mo will allow you to watch the Rebels play on ESPNU and the SEC Network as well.
This streaming service also offers access to The CW for viewers in specific locations.

Sling TV
If you get Sling‘s Orange plan costing $40.00/mo, you can watch ESPN and ESPN2 livestreams. Its Sports Extra add-on (costing $11/mo) is necessary if you want to also watch Ole Miss games that will be broadcast on ESPNU and the SEC Network.
Only select markets offer ABC access, none of those being in Mississippi or even a bordering state. However, all ABC-broadcast games should be available through ESPN3, which Sling does carry.
As for The CW, it is not offered by Sling in any fashion. That said, you can always use a digital antenna to get it for free, if it is available in your location. Check FCC’s DTV Reception Maps to find out.

Hulu + Live TV
Hulu + Live TV is a solid option as all subscribers will get ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, and SEC Network while many can also watch The CW programming through it, depending on your location.
Hulu + Live TV plans start at $76.99/mo and include nearly 95+ channels. The service also comes with ESPN+ and Disney+.

ESPN+
Although Ole Miss’ first game of 2024 is to be streamed on ESPN+ and the SEC Network+, there is no reason to purchase an ESPN+ subscription if you already have access to the SEC Network television channel and, in turn, SECN+. However, if you do not and still want to watch this game, you could get ESPN+ in order to do so.
See our ESPN+ review for details.
YouTube TV
YouTube TV offers 100+ channels including all the channels that you need to watch Ole Miss football games – ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, SEC Network, and The CW. It costs $72.99/mo.
Ole Miss Rebels Football
Ole Miss is coming off of one of its best seasons in school history as it set the school record for victories and posted its lowest loss total since 1971 while going 11-2. Many prognosticators are expecting even more from the Rebels in 2024. If they are right, Ole Miss could be in the running for its first conference title since 1963 and maybe even its first undisputed national title ever.
The school’s 2023 team finished its campaign ranked ninth in both major polls, and many believe that Ole Miss will be a top-five program this year.
Players
Several of the top players from Ole Miss’ top-10 team in 2023 are back this year with aspirations to lead the squad to even greater glories, and they are complimented by some impressive transfers.
Quarterback Jaxson Dart is one of those talented returners. He might win the Heisman Trophy in 2024 and has been described by Phil Steele as the year’s No. 2 quarterback prospect for the NFL. Dart will also be surrounded by top players, including a receiving corps that features returners Jordan Watkins and Tre Harris and newcomer Antwane Wells Jr, who was named All-SEC while at South Carolina.
This is definitely the best roster. I don’t know if it’ll be the best team. There’s a lot to be figured out with that.
Head Coach Lane Kiffin, 2024 Preseason (Source: Sports Illustrated)
The defense improving would do a lot to make the Rebels truly elite. Twice in 2023, Ole Miss allowed 49 or more points in a game, including in a 52-17 loss at Georgia on November 11. However, adding transfers Princely Umanmielen and Walter Nolen to the defensive line and other newcomers Chris Paul Jr, a linebacker, and Trey Amos, a cornerback, elsewhere on that side of the ball should help.
What Is the Ole Miss Football Schedule for This Season?
The Rebels have most of their expected toughest tests at home in games with Oklahoma on October 26 and Georgia on November 9 as well as the always intense Egg Bowl matchup with Mississippi State on November 29, 2024. Meanwhile, the likely toughest away game will be at LSU on October 12.
However, Ole Miss should receive a relatively smooth ride through the first half of its schedule as the initial real test is expected to be that Magnolia Bowl game against LSU in mid-October.
