Harold Callahan was a Military Police officer stationed at the Pentagon in 2077.
Background[]
Armed with his .44 Magnum revolver, Callahan was stationed at the Pentagon as an MP in the months leading up to the Great War.[1] He responded to several incidents amongst Pentagon staff, such as General Robert Dobbs' shooting of a Nuka-Cola vending machine.[2]
Appearances[]
Harold Callahan is mentioned only in the Fallout 3 add-on Broken Steel.
Behind the scenes[]
The character (along with his Magnum sidearm) is a reference to San Francisco Inspector Harry Callahan, protagonist of the Dirty Harry series of movies, who is noted for using a .44 Magnum as his weapon of choice as opposed to the standard police issue .38 caliber six shooter. The game guide also uses the classic line from the film as a means to showcase the power of the Magnum.[3]
