Clipped pulls inspiration from the 30 for 30 podcast about Donald Sterling, the former owner of the Los Angeles Clippers whose life and career imploded after leaked audio revealed his racist rants. In the FX series, Ed O’Neil practically disappears into the Sterling character, while Cleopatra Coleman embodies Sterling’s assistant V. Stiviano as she scrambles to extend her 15 minutes of fame. If you count yourself as one of the many fans of The Sterling Affairs podcast, Clipped is a worthy next watch.
