Wednesday night, Scanline VFX and Eyeline Studios - Powered by Netflix hosted an exclusive company screening of "Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F" in Hollywood, California, to celebrate both companies' work on this popular franchise starring Eddie Murphy. Following the screening, we held a Q&A session with the film's overall VFX Supervisor, Scanline's Bryan Grill, along with two special guests: legendary stunt helicopter pilot Fred North and renowned stunt coordinator Mike Gunther. This trio and their teams collaborated closely during production, including on one of the film’s most memorable sequences involving a stolen police helicopter. Moderated by our Creative Marketing Director, Zorianna Kit, the panel delved into the seamless collaboration between VFX and stunts, revealing how both teams came together to pull off jaw-dropping sequences that will delight viewers when the action-comedy begins streaming on July 3. Eyeline's Connie W. Siu also took the mic to highlight Eyeline’s significant contributions to the film. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended, and congratulations to all of Scanline's and Eyeline's artists, producers, and technicians for their phenomenal, invisible visual effects and technical work showcased in this Netflix streaming movie. "Neither of us are anything without each other — and that’s the reality of it. Production designers might start earlier concepting, getting the tone and feel of the show and then figuring out how much we build. Then our visual effects colleagues take over. But the epic nature of the shows we’re working on wouldn’t be what they are without the visual effects department.” - Deborah Riley, production designer on "3 Body Problem" on her collaboration with Scanline VFX Supervisor Boris Schmidt. #scanlinevfx #vfx #visualeffecs #FYC #foryourconsideration #collaboration #awards https://lnkd.in/gRRA5fSN
