This book by Reid Hoffman taught me so much: Especially on how to approach one's career strategically and proactively. Here's what stuck with me: 1️⃣ Always be learning! (Podcasts & copywriting for me lately). 2️⃣ Develop a Competitive Advantage based on your: ✅Aspirations & Values: Where you might like to go in the future and why + ✅Assets: Your soft assets like knowledge, skills, connections and hard assets like cash in the bank. + ✅Market Realities: What people will actually pay you for. 3️⃣ A mindset of Permanent Beta:  ✅Think of yourself as a work-in-progress and therefore, invest in yourself every single day. 4️⃣ Find Your Why: ✅ Knowing your "why" makes work way easier. 💪 5️⃣ Relationships matter: ✅Build real relationships that lift you up: Friends, new connections – prioritize those who help you grow! 🙌 ___ Now, I'm curious, what's YOUR favorite career book? Share your recommendations in the comments below! I'll be thrilled to read at least one of them👇

😊 ___________________________________________________________________ 🇨🇦 Don't undervalue yourself because you have no "Canadian experience". Your skills are valuable, wherever you got them! Great Canadian companies are looking for talented people with great skills, not a local resume! As a recruiter, I've seen many newcomers excel in Canada with strong communication and problem-solving skills. Here's your takeaway: When interviewing, highlight your achievements using the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result) and showcase your adaptability by sharing examples of overcoming challenges. (By the way, as cliche as it sounds, the STAR model works!) 👉 If you know someone looking for a job in Canada, share this with them – it could be helpful! 😊
