London Welcomes Taylor Swift as Pop Culture Royalty for "Eras" Tour

With her "Eras" tour hitting London's Wembley Stadium on Friday, global phenomenon Taylor Swift was welcomed as pop culture royalty.

Relax! Relax! We've read your comments, seen your posts, and faced off with thousands of you outside of the Bleeding Cool compound with pitchforks and flaming torches. You want more Taylor Swift coverage… no, you need more Taylor Swift coverage! Okay! Okay! Never let it be said that Bleeding Cool does not (sometimes) listen to the will of the people. You want more of the global phenomenon? We're going to give you more of the global phenomenon – like how Swift got the "royal treatment" (you're welcome) across the pond as she kicked off the first London night of her "Eras" tour in Wembley Stadium – not exactly a small venue. Of course, how can you not have a "Taylor's Version" (f*** y**, SB) of the traditional Changing of the Guard ceremony? Well, that's exactly what Swift got to kick things off…

Here's a look at the ceremony from Friday – while it might not be easy to dance to, the heart was in the right place:

As for the concert itself, what's left to be said at this point? During this leg of Swift's continued global domination, Swift treated attendees to a guitar mashup of "Hits Different" and "Death By A Thousand Cuts" and a piano mashup of "The Black Dog," "Come Back Be Here," and "Maroon." While the concert was attended by a whole lot of famous faces, what grabbed headlines on Saturday were the images shared by Swift and the Royal family of Swift, her boyfriend & NFL player Travis Kelce, Prince William (who was also celebrating his 42nd birthday), ten-year-old Prince George, and nine-year-old Princess Charlotte. Princess Catherine, who is continuing cancer treatment, remained home with six-year-old Prince Louis. Here's a look at the images that went live earlier today:
