Euro 2024 Bracket: Title Odds and Predictions After Friday's Quarter-Finals Results

The quarterfinal round of the 2024 Euro Cup started on Friday, as four teams fought for two spots in the semifinals.

First, Spain took on Germany in a match that wasn't decided until extra time. Then, Kylian Mbappé and France faced off against Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal in a clash between the 2000 Euro winner and the 2016 tournament champions.

Here's a look at Friday's action as well as the title odds for each remaining team.

Spain and Germany's match started off slow, as both teams failed to score after 45 minutes of play. However, Spain was able to get on the board first after Dani Olmo scored off an exceptional pass from Lamine Yamal.

While the match continued to wind down, Germany was finally able to record the equalizer. Florian Wirtz found the back of the net in the 89th minute to keep the country's hopes alive.

Spain jumped back in front in extra time due to a header from Mikel Merino in the 119th minute, with Olmo recording an assist.

Germany was unable to convert another chance before the final whistle sounded, officially eliminating the host nation.

The second match of the day featured another scoreless first half, with France and Portugal both attempting three shots each throughout the first 45 minutes. Portugal had multiple chances to score, although the team was denied with a pair of impressive saves by French keeper Mike Maignan.

France was also unable to convert after 90 minutes of play, as Diogo Costa continued his strong Euro performance with five saves in regulation. Neither team was able to get on the board in extra time, leading to penalties.

Both groups converted on their first two opportunities, although a miss from Portugal's João Félix opened the door for the opposing side. After France connected on all five penalties, Portugal was eliminated.

Spain and France now have the first and second-best odds to win the tournament after advancing on Friday, respectively. Of the remaining teams in the quarterfinal round, England owns the best odds at +400.
