Why will the Dallas Wings cover the spread?
There is little to nothing to celebrate in Dallas with the Wings riding an 11-game losing skid. But one thing that could appeal to punters is the decent ATS record of the Wings when bookmakers have them as underdogs.
- The Wings, which come into their match against the Lynx as +9.5 underdogs, are 5-7 ATS as a dog.
- Moreover, the Wings are also one of the best shooting teams in the league, ranking fifth in field goal percentage at 43.2%.
If that’s not good enough, Dallas is also excellent in defense, ranking third in rebounds and fourth in blocks.
But for everything to translate into the court, the Wings will need to work together and hope that sweet-shooting guard Arike Ogunbowale and Natasha Howard both have excellent scoring nights.
The 27-year old Ogunbowale is currently second in the league in scoring, averaging 23.9 points to go along with 4.7 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game while Howard has been superb since her return, pouring in 18.3 points per game.

The Minnesota Lynx are in cloud nine right now. They just won their first WNBA Commissioners Cup title. They have won 14 of their 17 games this season and are currently the best team in the league.
