Pons Ora businesses
The following businesses are seen in Pons Ora:
"GAME GO"[1] (next to Borkus' diner)
"OWER SLIDERS" (see the section on Borkus' diner for more information)
"DR EVAZAN COSMETIC SURGERY"[1] (note that "cosmetic surgery" is written on a sign over the door when Gregor walks home, but not all the characters can be read)
"BOUNTY EMPORIUM" (outside the diner)
"ABAFAR JUNIOR DEJARIK CLUB" – "NO WOOKIEES!"[1]
"LAND O' CAPES"[1] (seen when Borkus says, "I don't ever want to hear the word "clone" again."; note that the last four characters are off-screen)
"ADMIRAL SNACKBAR"[1] (the Trivia Gallery shows that this eating place has a slogan, "IT'S A FRAP!",[1] in the form of a hologram, but this cannot be seen in the final episode), a reference to Admiral Ackbar and his iconic quote from Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi, "It's a trap!"
The most common signs in the mining town are:[1]
"CLOSED"[1] (seen, for example, when Gascon says, "We're not on vacation here.")
"OUT OF BUSINESS"[1] (seen, for example, when Gascon says, "That's the way it is on these Outer Rim's armpits.")
"FINAL SALE"[1] (a mirror-inverted, partially obscured version is seen on a building near the diner)
"FOR LEASE"[1] (seen upside-down when in the last shot of Gregor after his and Borkus' conversation about clones)
Pons Ora posters
In town, there are posters based on classic LucasArts adventure games, but done with a Star Wars twist:[1]
"FULL THROTTLE"[1] (based on the computer adventure game of the same name; best seen when WAC-47 talks about oil baths)
"DAY OF THE SARLACC"[1] (based on Day of the Tentacle; best seen when WAC-47 notices the bugs crawling into the alley).
Another poster, "KOWAKIAN MONKEY ISLAND",[1] which refers to the Monkey Island games, and based on the cover art for the fourth game in the series, Escape from Monkey Island, also appears (it can be seen next to the other two in an alley next to Power Sliders when WAC-47 says, "My power cells are running low too"), but the caption is unreadable.
Several Aurebesh posters can be seen in Pons Ora (although many of them are partially unreadable due to dirt and stains), in the form of advertisements for "DJ RANGTHANG"; "MISS THEELIN LIVE; "THE BEST DRINK IN TOWN" : "TRUEPING'S"; "SY SNOOTLES" (seen upside-down and includes the text "SOLD OUT", "[illegible] PEO[illegible]", "[illegible]HERE ON CORUSCANT", "OVER" and "FRI-[illegible]" – see "Deception" for the full text) and "KIROS", previously seen in Season Four. Another poster, with blue writing, is seen in the allery where Gregor takes out the trash, but it is too dirty to properly decipher.
Diner signage
Borkus' diner has a sign that reads "OWER SLIDERS" – according to the episode's Trivia Gallery on StarWars.com, it would have read "POWER SLIDERS", but the disrepair rampant throughout Pons Ora means the "P" has fallen off.[1]
A sign below the window says "OPEN", as does the entrance to the diner.
Inside the diner, there are ads for several businesses seen in the streets, which are identical to the signs for the businesses described in section one: "DR EVAZAN" (part of "Dr. Evazan Cosmetic Surgery"), "ABAFAR JUNIOR DEJARIK CLUB" – "NO WOOKIEES!", "ADMIRAL SNACKBAR" and "ADOPT-A-WAMPA".
The yellow menu behind the counter says:
POWER SLIDERS | ||
DEWBACK SLIM SIP | [illegible word] IS
GOOD | |
HATH BE[two illegible characters]ARD[three illegible characters]
EWOK JERKY | EOOPIE [sic] STEW
NUNA GUMBO | ||
FAMBAA DELIGHT | ||
TAUNTAUN FONDO |
Note: The "is good" parts may be wrong, as the writing is minuscule and very hard to decipher. The "tauntaun fondo" part is best seen in the first shot of the menu; in the other shots, only the top of the characters is seen.
There is also a tiny screen with Aurebesh text behind the counter, but it is too far away to read.
Gregor's apartment
The door to Gregor's apartment shows that he lives in number "6C". The Aurebesh graffiti over the door has no actual meaning.
Gregor's military records
When R2-D2 scans Gregor's identifying code, Gregor's wrist says "G-07".
R2's data on Gregor reads:
GREGOR 557-39 SGT 1ST CLASS 212 ATTACK BATALLION FOXTROT GROUP HEIGHT 6 FT WEIGHT 176
| |
STATUS MIA BATTLE OF SERRISH [sic] |
Note that "557-39" is an error, as Gregor's number is actually 5576-39. In addition, Gascon refers to Gregor as a captain, not a sergeant.
Separatist containers
Various containers in the Separatist Rhydonium mining installation are marked with the word "CARGO".
Unseen Aurebesh
The Trivia Gallery on StarWars.com says that the Nu-class transport has an extra cargo pod, stenciled with the serial number "PT019-U", slung beneath the ship's main hull;[1] although this seems to be missing from the final episode.
Note: Various hand-posted bills were created for this episode, but they do not appear in the actual episode. According to the picture in the Trivia Gallery on the official website, it says:[1]
"TECORA FOR SALE WITH AUTHENTIC LIGHTSABER DAMAGE. 500000 R. C."
"AUTHENTIC SITH IN TRAINING DOUBLE LIGHTSABER". "60 R. C."
"AUTHENTIC KIROS GOLD HEAD BUST. A MUST HAVE FOR COLLECTORS OF THE ARTS". "LIMITED STOCK" – "ORDER SOON". "CALL FOR PRICING"
"BATTLE DROID". "NEEDS SOME TLC". "VERY USED". "10 R. C."
"HAND CRAFTED SLAVE SHOVEL". "100 R. C."
"TRANDOSHAN BIRD. BRING HOME THIS ADORABLE BIRD AND BRIGHTEN YOUR DAY. BETTER WHEN YOU BUY TWO". "60 R. C."
"TWILEK [sic] PISTOL. SLIGHTLY USED AND WORN. NEEDS SOME REPAIR. 5 R. C."
"URTLE TANK (the first letter, T is faded). GREAT PLACE TO HIDE YOUR BOUNTIES. 350000 R. C."
