First edition of an attack by Thomas Mangey (1688-1755) on John Toland’s ‘Nazarenus’ of the same year (Bib# 1234883/Fr# 232 in this collection), an important study of the ‘Gospel of Barnabas,’ a 16th-17th-century confection, probably Muslim in origin.
