We LOVE THIS!! After using one at my daughters we knew we needed one. Hers was a lot smaller and purchased from a local grocery store. When I ordered this I honestly didn’t realize how big it was, but when we opened it we were happier than we would’ve been with the smaller one. We make a large salad every weekend for the week and wash three heads of lettuce and this works extremely well at eliminating all the extra water! I also use it to wash all other fruits and veggies that I used to leave out to dry.

I bought this Apr 17, 2021 and I'm still using it. I use it about once a week to make a big salad for the week (for just me, "family" of one). I am not exactly gentle with it! I fill up the bowl to wash the greens, dump the water, pump about 20 times, dump the water and pump 20 more times. It holds up well! I wash the thing (always by hand) with the colander inside the bowl and rinse them together, also. I love this thing so much that when I saw it at the local big-box store, I bought another one as a backup! I do not want to be without this or go back to drying salad greens on a towel! This is an essential device for someone who wants to eat more healthfully, focusing on salads, fruits, and anything that needs such rinsing and drying. It takes the dread out of making salads. After 3 years, this spinner is working just fine. Nothing has broken!

I had been wanting this for awhile (for husband) because we have organic greens to wash and this makes it a lot easier. Someone in my family told me this was a good one. She was right - it is built well and it spins the water out easily. My husband really likes it - so far we are only using it to spin out garden greens for salad.
It has made the washing and rinsing to dry out the salad much better. I recommend it. You just pump it up and it spins pretty fast for a few minutes and it's not difficult.

Sometimes he leaves it sitting upright to air dry sometimes and it has been humid. I noticed underneath there is a green silicone or rubber seal that has black mold growing underneath...between the clear bucket and the seal. I am going to try and soak it in bleach to see if I can get rid of that. I already tried scrubbing. I might try leaving it out in the sunlight. It's not a lot of mold but definitely the seal. I have had the item less than 6 mths. I still think it's a good product but it needs to be thoroughy dried I guess. I have not put it in the dish washer. One thing I can't stand about silicone - like silicone caulking..is this exact issue where mold gets in underneath. I have not had that problem with regular caulking. A separate issue, I know but similar I think. I was surprised to see black mold beginning to grow on the green seal underneath this spinner. It doesn't bother him though. If I figure out how to remove it I will update. I have not tried citric acid either.

I’ve been wanting a vegetable strainer spinner for a long time but the ones I saw are usually either too big or too small or too flimsy. This device is made of good quality. The coating on the clear container makes it very easy to clean and water to slide off it. I love the top where you can push and lock the spinner down so it won’t take up too much space. When I first used it, it took me a good minute to figure out how to get it to work right. The inner green basket can be misaligned when you put it in the basket (I have visual impairment and I did not see there’s a pointy thing on the bottom of the outer container. You need to put the green basket center onto it). If the basket is misaligned, u can’t close the top well and do not try to force close it. Just need to slightly adjust the basket and it work swell. I can push the spinner 4-5 x with the amount of lettuce for dinner salad (enough for 2-3 people salad) each time and just leave it there for it to spin while I cut the garnishes for the salad - just have to somewhat tuck the basket in against the wall of the counter because it moves slightly so it doesn’t fall off). The spin lasts quite a while and the lettuce comes out fresh and - no more drippy salads :). Item is easy to clean
