Seriously, why do loud?

Seriously, why do loud?
I tried posting 4 pictures, hopefully they show up.Anyway, this is pretty fun, my family is playing again as I am writing up this review.Pros: Tons of cars and therefore categories. No way to memorize all these answers.Dropping in the pucks is super fun, I know that's weird, but I like it, they have a good weight and the slot at the top is well designed.Cons: There is no volume button. Half my family is half deaf and they even think it's too loud. One of the photo's I tried to post has a towel shoved up by the speaker to mute this thing a little bit. Seriously, way too loud. The battery pack is under the kickstand, so I had to remove the kickstand to add batteries. On that note, why no batteries? It takes AAA and if we didn't have some left over from Christmas, we would have been out of luck.

If you know how to play trivia pursuit, this is essentially that but weird. First thing, this game did not come with AAA batteries. I had to go out to get some. Next, you cannot control the volume and it is super loud. Everything else is about the same, you figure out the order of things. I believe you only get one minute to figure it out. You get a couple seconds less as each player goes on. Some of the cards are pretty hard and you can't figure out in time. I didn't like this game and my friends were indifferent. Good try I guess.

This is a great game for anyone that enjoys trivia games in theory but doesn't know a lot of the answers. Trivial Pursuit has always been a struggle in my house, even the themed ones, because none of know nearly as much as we think we do, lol. This game solves that problem - you have the answers, you just need to figure out the proper sequence (for example, newest to oldest invention).

Expansion packs may be needed since there are a limited amount of cards (they are 2 sided, at least), but if this is in a monthly (or less often) rotation, it should last a while since you likely won't memorize everything with infrequent play.

Accessing the battery area (takes 3 AAA batteries, not included) is miserable. I included a picture with a AA battery for scale of the opening and the screwdriver I had to use. With the screwdriver I used, I did have to spread/stretch the opening which I thought I might break it.

The rules fully explain what you need to do and they are pretty concise, so it's not long until you can start game play.

It is a bit loud - the speaker is behind the kickstand. You can remedy that by playing with it flat/with kickstand closed and hold it OR a duct taping the speaker to muffle it more. I'm sure there are other ways, but those are some options off the top of my head.

Overall, fun for the whole family if you enjoy trivia games. May not be as fun for die hard trivia fans, but it's perfect for this house.

This is a very strange version of Trivial Pursuit, recommended for ages 13+. Some games shouldn't be "improved upon" like this. It feels like something that was created in the 80s when electronic games were something new and novel; long before the advanced computer gaming that kids today are used to. First, you have to open the kickstand to access the battery compartment, which is a little awkward to get to, then you have to unscrew the battery cover to insert the batteries. Once the batteries are inserted, you then stand the device up and drop the colored pucks into the slots according to the color scheme at the top of the card to activate the game board into knowing the correct answers. It is set up to play in two teams. The first player has one minute after pressing the start button to order the six items on the car in the correct order, using the colored pucks and inserting them from the top of the device. For instance, the first card we played listed six fruits and you had to order the number of seeds from least to most by inserting the colored puck that matches the color on the item- for instance, strawberry was one fruit and was on a yellow background, so you would use the yellow puck. If you don't put them in the correct order after 60 seconds, you release the pucks and player two has only 45 seconds to attempt to get them in the correct order. Each time another round has to be played there is less time allotted. Us older people found it too difficult to get the pucks inserted in the allotted time and gave up playing. We prefer the original board game of Trivial Pursuit. I can't imagine the younger generation being interested in such a clunky electronic game. I will update my review if I am proven wrong when my older grandkids come to play.
