The KontrolFreek Precision Rings are a fantastic addition to any gamer's set-up. These rings provide some amazing features that make playing games even more enjoyable.

The first thing I noticed when using these rings is how they transformed my controller’s joysticks. The precision rings provide a far more comfortable and accurate gaming experience by boosting my aim and tactile sensitivity. I found that they really excelled in combat games, making it a lot easier to track and eliminate my enemies.

However, I did find that the KontrolFreek Precision Rings are a bit on the fragile side. I got suggested these by a friend to help me with MLB The Show. These work great for people that slam their stick and help with precision. I've gotten so much better with hitting since buying these. I started with the green, then the purple, think I'll try the more firm one pretty soon.

Not really the fault of the product, but if you're using them to help aim, it can make the other elements of your game harder. Fielding in The Show becomes more difficult to get your runner to full speed out in the field and stuff like that. But worth the advantages for hitting. Not sure how they would work in a shooter, don't play any on console yet.

It definitely does what it advertises! It does slow down your aim which is good for when aiming-down-sights or even hip-firing. But either my thumbs are too strong or they could sell these firmer (I use the firmest rings).

Turns out, I could have had the effect I wanted (steadier, and more precise, aim) by adjusting in game settings (for the game Fortnite, if you turn on the Advanced Sensitivity Settings for Controller).

So I utilize both Precision Rings and Advanced settings to attain steadier aim. I'd say the rings have a 5/10 effect.

UPDATE 6/24/24
I was wrong about these. By taking them off of my controller, I realized just how effective they were. They DEFINITELY provided steadier aim in contrast to the loose thumbstick without these rings. Definitely worth the purchase!

I received these today and was so excited to try them out. After testing them, I can say that they definitely help with limiting your capacity to overcorrect and recoil control. Great product, but would be better if they were more durable for the price. I put the green rings on both joysticks without an issue and they worked great but I wanted more resistance so I wanted to put on the purple ones. The FIRST TIME I went to put the purple ring on my controller, it ripped. Even though I was careful not to pull too hard because they seemed fragile. The problem is that they are rubber-ish foam and my joystick is also rubber so they got stuck. I can imagine these will need to be replaced quite frequently due to durability.

For you ROG ALLY users out there, you know how loose the joysticks are compared to xbox/ps controllers. Trying to play FPS games takes a while to get used to. So when I researched possible joystick replacement options I found these foam disks. I was a little skeptical at first but I'm glad I pulled the trigger. These give the Ally a MUCH better resistance for all my shooter games without sacrificing play on my other games.

Installation was fine. I've tried all three stiffnesses. Just take your time when stretching the rings around your joysticks – try not to stretch it any more than the width of your joystick.

One note I had was that it took maybe 30 minutes for my green disk to "break in". By that, I mean the disk sits just inside the RBG ring. The lip of that ring digs into the side of the foam disks providing resistance. I also have Skull and Co joystick caps to as well for even more comfort, so after a couple rounds of whatever shooting game I'm playing, the ring finds a natural place to sit, and joystick movement becomes almost "smoother" if you will.

13/10 would recommend.
TL;DR Almost gave up FPS games on my ROG ALLY until I tried these.
