After a successful first year, the Capitol Groove music festival has set its dates for 2025. Located in the heart of Hartford's Bushnell Park, the music festival will take place next year on June 28 and 29.

This year's festival was held June 29-30, earning approval from audience members, who complimented the festival's organization, minimal lines and spacious layout.

"I've already told all of my friends to come next year," attendee Lauren Barone, who came with her husband and two-year-old daughter, Sage, told Hearst Connecticut on Saturday,

The 2024 edition of Capitol Groove was headlined by folk rock group My Morning Jacket and roots rock band Dispatch. Other acts that performed during the weekend included The Revivalists, The Head and The Heart, Shakey Graves, Guster, Trampled by Turtles and Trevor Hall among others. The festival grounds were evacuated on Sunday due to severe weather, which led to The Suffers and Tank and the Bangas not appearing at the festival.

The festival was put on by Goodworks Entertainment, the company that operates the Infinity Hall in Hartford and puts on the Hartford Live concert series. Goodworks Entertainment also took over Rhode Island's Rhythm & Roots music festival two years ago.

CEO and co-founder of Goodworks Entertainment, Tyler Grill, told Hearst Connecticut that the event was a "huge success" — drawing in approximately 7,000 festival goers each day of the festival.

"The fans were amazing, we loved seeing how many families showed up to enjoy the festival. The vibe felt amazing," Grill said. "We cannot wait to see everyone back on the Capitol grounds next year."

A loyalty pre-sale for those who purchased tickets in 2024 will take place sometime early next week, according to Grill.
