Are you trying to learn how to use the Walkie Talkie feature on Apple Watch? You've come to the right place.

The Walkie Talkie feature lets users communicate with each other — right from their wrists. However, you and the other user must own Apple Watch devices to use the fun, push-to-talk perk.

How to Use ‘Walkie Talkie’ on Apple Watch

Before you can get start using the Walkie Talkie feature, you'll need invite a friend or loved one first. Here's how to do it:

  1. Open the Walkie Talkie app.

  2. Scroll through your contacts and tap the name of the friend you want to invite. 

  3. Make sure your contact accepts the invitation. 

Repeat steps 1 to 3 with as many friends as you want, but if you want to remove a contact, just swipe left and press "X." 

How to start a Walkie Talkie session

  1. Open the Walkie Talkie app.

  2. Launch your Walkie Talkie convo by tapping on your friend’s name.

  3. Press and hold the "Talk" button to speak or talk. 

For accessibility, if you can't push to talk, you can tap to talk instead by going to Settings > Accessibility > Walkie Talkie before hitting "Tap to Talk.

Keep in mind that you have control over whether your friends and loved ones have access to you via Walkie Talkie. You can change your status to "Unavailable" by opening the Walkie Talkie app and turning off the feature, clicking on the Walkie Talkie symbol in the control center or by turning on theater mode.
