I was exploring the Storymode Portal 2 maps to re-construct the missing prefab instances. And I wanted to try the "seal_in" from sp_a2_bts2... And I noticed that the panels actually have gaps. How did Valve even create these animations. I know there's some animated panels in Portal 2 that are accurate I think. How did they forsee the placement? I hope you can let me know :)
