- "The Tarisian Tourism Board has issued a strong warning to all visitors to avoid the Lower City. It is a violent and dangerous place you would do well to avoid."
- ―An informational protocol droid
In 3956 BBY,[2] the Tarisian Tourism Board,[1] also called the Tarisian tourist board,[3] dispensed messages to pedestrians in the Upper City of the planet of Taris through the government's informational GE3-series protocol droids. During the quarantine imposed by the Sith Empire after they captured Taris that year, many off-worlders were stranded on the planet. The Board used the droids to warn such foreigners away from the dangers of the Lower City, where a war between swoop gangs called the Hidden Beks and the Black Vulkars was ongoing.[1]
