"Single Cell" is a 12-page comic story that appeared in Star Wars Tales 7 and was collected in Star Wars Tales Volume 2. The story was written by Haden Blackman, penciled by Jan Duursema, inked by Ray Kryssing, lettered by Steve Dutro and colored by Dave McCaig. It takes place six weeks before the Invasion of Naboo in 32 BBY.
Plot summary[]
Aboard the Trade Federation battleship Stockade, the incarcerated Feeorin Nym recounts the story of how he got there to his Neimoidian cellmate.
In orbit around Maramere in the Havoc, Nym, Kole and Jinkins waited for the mercenary Vana Sage and her "buyers," a group of bounty hunters, to trade experimental weapons for Stygium crystals.
Once on board the space station, Nym and his crew met the buyers to exchange goods. When Nym revealed that he had buried the power cells for the weapons as a safeguard, a fight ensued between the crew of the Havoc and the bounty hunters.
Under the threat of droidekas, Sage captured the crew, sent Kole and Jinkins to Maramere in an escape pod, and took the Havoc as payment for delivering Nym to the Trade Federation.
Back in the cell, Merick and Bavo arrive to rescue Nym, who vows revenge on Vana Sage.

The events of Single Cell have been brought into Legends continuity via references in The New Essential Guide to Characters and The New Essential Guide to Weapons and Technology.
