Sallen Fandel was an old senatorial type who was affiliated with the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Galactic Civil War against the Galactic Empire. A two meters tall Human male, he was knowledgeable about alien races, bureaucracy, and security, and was skilled in bargaining, command, and using blasters. He wore boots, pants and a coat and carried a hold-out blaster and datapad.[1]

Sallen Fandel was created for the Rebel Characters Adventure Set, a boxed set of metal miniatures released in 1989 by West End Games to be used with Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game. Fandel's character type was listed as "Senatorial Type" and his model came unpainted.[1]
