A permacrete detonator was an explosive powerful enough to destroy permacrete. It was recommended that only one with a vast knowledge of demolitions set it up.

In 3956 BBY a Twi'lek named Matrik, who had a bounty on his head, asked Revan to help him fake his death to get the Exchange off his back. This involved Revan purchasing a permacrete detonator from Kebla Yurt's store and having Matrik set it up. When Matrik Detonated it, It exploded more than once, with two small explosions and then a final larger explosion.^[1]
