This article is about the celestial body. You may be looking for the droid.

Hermos was an astronomical object[3] located in the Hermos system,[1] a part of the Spadja sector[1] in the Trans-Hydian portion of[2] the Outer Rim Territories.[1] It had at least one spaceport. At some point during the Galactic Civil War, the group of pirates led by Yesgar, who had a hideout on[3] the Esstran sector[4] celestial body Antared III, were spotted in Hermos's spaceport.[3]

Behind the scenes[]

Hermos was introduced in Star Wars Gamemaster Handbook, a 1993 sourcebook published by West End Games for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game. In the game, the celestial body was mentioned in a hypothetical example in a section advising gamemaster players on the use of various paper handouts in their games.[3] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas later placed the Hermos system in grid square R-5. The book's co-author[2] Jason Fry has stated that the star systems listed in the Appendix section of The Essential Atlas are named after the most prominent planets or celestial bodies located in those systems. This article therefore considers the existence of Hermos to be canonical with respect to the Star Wars Legends continuity.[5]
