The Great Shell Dome was the holding place of the sun caves where the Golden Sun was held. The dome itself was made of a huge number of interlocking seashells coated with a special varnish that allowed the structure to withstand all but the most powerful starship weapons. Measuring thirty meters in length and rising fifteen meters in height, the Dome was visible from a distance.^[1]
