During the time of the Galactic Civil War between the Galactic Empire and the Alliance to Restore the Republic, following the Battle of Yavin[2] in 0 BBY,[5] at least one treasure hunter uncovered a buried container that held a flask of elba water.[2]

In 26 ABY,[3] Mara Jade Skywalker and Anakin Solo visited the Leafy Green tapcafe on Coruscant, where they were each served an elba water by a young Drall server.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

Elba water first appeared in "Tinian on Trial," a short story written by Kathy Tyers that was originally published in Star Wars Adventure Journal 4 by West End Games on November 1, 1994.[4] Elba water later appeared as a drink in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided, a massively multiplayer online role-playing game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts, prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.[2][6] With the release of Chapter 6: Masters of the Wild on May 22, 2007, the game's treasure hunting system was updated.[7] As part of this system, elba water was included as a consumable buff item which could be found in buried treasure containers. The item, when consumed, gave the player a small boost to their block abilities.[2]
