Although light plating type 2 was better suited for the factory floor, plating of this type began seeing more general use. Light but effective, this upgrade could have meant the difference between repair and replacement if a droid came to harm. It was installed in the wreckage of a Rakatan guardian droid in the Rakatan ruins on Dantooine.
