"His name's Drenn Biktor. A tiny nothing of a man, but don't tell him I said that."
Nitra Vendallan, to a spacer[1]

Drenn Biktor was a Human male Imperial Army non-com who defected to the Rebel Alliance during the Galactic Civil War.

Biography[]

"Thank you. I don't know what will happen to me now. But I couldn't go on serving the Empire. I had friends on Alderaan!"
―Drenn Biktor, to a spacer[1]

Drenn Biktor was an Imperial non-commissioned officer who grew distraught over the destruction of Alderaan. Due to the loss of his friends, Biktor wished to defect to the Rebel Alliance.[1] In 1 ABY,[2] Captain Nitra Vendallan saw to it that Drenn Biktor would be escorted to the town of Anchorhead on Tatooine so that he could be safely transported off world. Vendallan thought little of Biktor, but valued his knowledge of Imperial Outer Rim supply routes, which could be useful for the Rebels in interdicting their shipments.[1]

Before Biktor could be found and killed by the Empire, a Rebel spacer sent by Vendallan found and escorted him back to town.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

Drenn Biktor was a Non-Player Character (NPC) in the MMORPG Star Wars Galaxies,[1] prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.[3] Players who performed a series of quests for Nitra Vendallan in Anchorhead had to hunt down and escort Drenn Biktor back to town. Although the player could choose not to do Nitra Vendallan's quests, this article assumes 100% game completion.[1]

  2. The opening crawl of Star Wars Galaxies dates the game to after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, and additionally, Serji-X Arrogantus, who died in Star Wars (1977) 10—the events of which The New Essential Chronology dates to 0 ABY—appears in the game. Therefore, at least a portion of Star Wars Galaxies must be set in that year. Furthermore, in the game Ruwan Tokai references the destruction of the Death Star as having occurred one year earlier, and Strongholds of Resistance also places the events of Galaxies' Chapter 9: "The Fury of Exar Kun" in 1 ABY. Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
