The chuka was a Bothan hand-to-hand combat weapon.
Designed to fit over the hand, the chuka discharged a high-density shock sufficient to disable an opponent. The weapon was so closely associated with Bothan elite, that in some systems, mere possession of a chuka was considered grounds for execution as a spy.
