"I cannot believe Lucasfilm let me show a dead Jedi Knight with a severed limb."
―Adam Hughes reflecting on the cover of Star Wars: Purge[1]

Adam Hughes is a comic book artist. He has drawn many famous characters including Princess Leia, Wonder Woman, Vampirella, Cat Woman, Lara Croft and Storm. He has drawn covers and art for such titles as Classic Star Wars movie adaptations, The Justice League, Star Trek, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Tomb Raider, Legionnaires, Ghost, and Gen¹³, to only name a few.

Hughes also began creating designs for Wizards of the Coast roleplaying games such as the Star Wars: Invasion of Theed Adventure Game. For Theed, Hughes was asked to introduce fans to new heroes through his illustrations of the teen Wookiee scout Rorworr and the female Jedi Guardian Sia-Lan Wezz.

In 2007 he designed the cover art for Legacy (2006) 7, and has supplied art for the Star Wars: 30th Anniversary Trading Card Set.
