The Heroes Wiki is an offshoot of the "Villains Wiki" and is designed to be a comprehensive database of heroes from all media - ranging from cartoon shows of old to epic dramas, movies and videogames. Heroes are an ancient traditional spanning across almost all cultures and capturing the imaginations of young and old - this wiki seeks to pay homage to those childhood fantasies as well as characters who continue to inspire us well into our adult life. |
 Simba, also known as King Simba, is the titular main protagonist of Disney's The Lion King franchise. As the son of Mufasa and Sarabi, Simba was next in line to rule the Pride Lands. But after his uncle, Scar, murdered Mufasa and convinced Simba that it was his fault, Simba fled into exile and spent years with his adoptive fathers Timon and Pumbaa. Upon entering adulthood, however, as the Pride Lands fell into ruins under Scar's rule, Simba was forced to defeat him and take his place in the Circle of Life. After becoming king, Simba married his childhood best friend Nala and had two cubs; a daughter named Kiara and a son named Kion. As a cub, he is voiced by Jonathan Taylor Thomas (while speaking) and Jason Weaver (while singing) in the first movie, and Matt Weinberg in The Lion King 1½. As an adult, he is voiced by Matthew Broderick, who also plays Niko Tatopoulos in Godzilla, Inspector Gadget in the live-action film of the same name, Despereaux Tilling in The Tale of Despereaux, Adam Flayman in Bee Movie, and Ferris Bueller in Ferris Bueller's Day Off (while speaking) and Joseph Williams (while singing in the first film) and Cam Clarke (while singing in the second film) who also voiced him in The Lion King's Timon & Pumbaa and Rob Lowe in The Lion Guard.
