MiHoYo’s free-to-play open-world game is glorious, but you may need the right PC requirements to properly explore it. You’ll be able to witness the majestic fields of Mondstadt or the stunning underwater areas of Fontaine if you can run the game properly. You may need to upgrade your computer, however, to get the best results. Here are the Genshin Impact PC requirements.

Minimum Genshin Impact PC requirements

In order to play Genshin Impact on PC, you’ll need the following specs, including:

  • OS: Windows 7 SP1 64-bit, Windows 8.1 64-bit, or Windows 10 64-bit
  • Processor: Intel Core i5 or equivalent
  • Memory: 8GB
  • Storage: Around 100GB of storage (as of the 4.0 update)
  • Direct X: 11
  • Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030 or better

As the game continually gets updated, the amount of storage you’ll need will increase. The Epic Games Store listing says 30GB is needed, but you’ll require way more than that due to the consistent updates.

Recommended requirements

To play Genshin Impact on PC as intended, you’ll need the following installed in your computer:

  • OS: Windows 7 SP1 64-bit, Windows 8.1 64-bit, or Windows 10 64-bit
  • Processor: Intel Core i7 or equivalent
  • Memory: 16GB
  • Storage: Around 100GB of storage (as of the 4.0 update)
  • Direct X: 11
  • Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 (6GB) or better

These specs will help power the spectacular, colorful visuals of this open world RPG. As the game gets new locations and areas to explore, your hardware may get more taxed running this game, especially on the hard drive side.
