Wednesday’s announcement of Forza Horizon 4 getting delisted from Steam and Xbox has caused a huge player boost.

Last month, there was an average of 4,309 players on Steam (with a peak of 10,931), but a day after the delisting announcement, it has increased to a peak of 70,503, according to SteamDB; that’s a 1,536% Forza Horizon 4 player boost from last month’s average.

Due to licenses expiring for the cars featured in Forza Horizon 4, the game will be delisted on December 15 this year. Likely due to an 80% sale and the inability to buy this by the end of the year, there has been a massive surge of players checking out the UK-inspired racing game.

Almost 3,000 Steam reviews have been pouring into Forza Horizon 4‘s store page. Overall, they’re Very Positive. “For my taste, after more than 3,000 hours I can assure that it is the car game I always dreamed of since I started playing video games in 1986,” said a recent review by user FuanKaru72. “It has everything, spectacular graphics and quite good and varied music.”

Unfortunately, by the time you’re reading this, the 80% off promotion on Steam would have ended, but more sales are likely on the way. It might be best to put Forza Horizon 4 on your wishlist if you’re willing to wait it out. The developer Playground Games (who is also behind the Fable reboot, by the way) has confirmed there will be an Xbox console discount for Forza Horizon 4 on July 14.

You may want to check out the game sooner rather than later, however. The festival mode, one of Forza Horizon 4‘s key features, will end on August 22. Our review also praises the game’s “the world’s your oyster” mantra, so you should definitely get the game digitally on Steam or Xbox before its too late.
