Love is in small things

I found Love is in the small things entirely by accident, and it became one of the most welcomed surprises. Once you open this game, you’ll be greeted by the soothing sounds of a piano and breathtaking hand-drawn illustrations. Each chapter is a journey into the life of an adorable couple, depicted in heartwarming cutscenes.

When the cutscene ends, the hidden object game begins. The layout starts with a black-and-white-esque environment until the player taps on an item to add vibrant colors to the picture. Thanks to the talented work of the artist Puuung, it’s incredibly satisfying to see the final result after each chapter. I also find Love is in the Small Things particularly relaxing due to its peaceful soundtrack and non-time-limiting gameplay. Thus, this title is perfect for those seeking a calming and enjoyable hidden object experience.

Find N Seek: Spy Hidden Object

For a classic hidden object game, go for Find N Seek: Spy Hidden Object. There’s a variety of modes to try out with this one, including themes like Funny Animals, Colorful Doodles, and holiday exclusives. The artwork in this game never ceases to amaze me, considering each has a distinct style. In particular, players can feast their eyes on the hidden objects in an oil painting style or explore retro pieces in Vintage Women.

If you’re a completionist enthusiast, Find N Seek: Hidden Object offers various quests. Sometimes, they can easily be achieved through a standard win, but others will mandate multiple playthroughs by achieving a specific category. The feeling of accomplishment when you complete these quests is truly rewarding and can keep you motivated to explore more of the game’s content.

Find Joe: Unsolved Mystery

When I first stepped into the mystical universe of Find Joe: Unsolved Mystery, I had a very hard time putting this one down. It’s one of the most challenging hidden object games I’ve played, where it often forces you to think outside the box. Rather than simply tapping on items, you must move obstructions out of the way and pair some of them together. Many intricate puzzles are involved, too, to throw you in for a loop.

While all this is happening, you’ll need to solve the mystery behind the missing child, Joe. This is one of the main reasons why Find Joe kept me hooked for so long, in the hopes of uncovering more secrets. I will say, though, that the game can sometimes be frustrating, especially when an object needs to be moved to a particular position. Fortunately, it has helpful hints and fast-forward features whenever you get stuck.

Mystery Case Files: 13th Skull

The Mystery Case Files series has become one of the most beloved hidden object games on Steam and other platforms, from Huntsville to Madame Fate. It’s difficult to settle on one title, but if I had to pick, the 13th Skull is an excellent place to start. The story kicks off with the enigmatic disappearance of Marcus Lawson, allegedly at the hands of ghostly pirates on a quest to protect their treasure.

As a player, you’ll step into the shoes of a Master Detective, using your keen observation skills to locate a vast array of items scattered across the map. But 13th Skull isn’t just about finding hidden objects. It also offers standard exploration, permitting you to immerse yourself in the spooky environment and uncover the secrets it holds.

One of the many delights of Soupsoup is its ever-changing soundtrack. Each piece immerses you in a unique melody, making you feel like you’ve stepped into the artist’s universe. The game world is more lively than traditional hidden object games, featuring animated characters and environments. Moreover, the coffee cup section showcases alternative game modes, from Sliding Puzzles to Relax Mode, ensuring there’s always something new to entertain you.

Hidden Folks

Explore the intriguing world of Hidden Folks, a game that presents a unique black-and-white aesthetic. Each hand-drawn artwork, with a touch of animation, invites you to discover its 32 meticulous pieces. The more I explored these maps, the more I was drawn in by the countless little details waiting to be found.

Hidden Folks will certainly get your head scratching if you’re looking for a challenge. And thankfully, you can always rely on the hints to help clear up any confusion. The color modes are another beneficial feature, where you can change the title to Sepia or Night Mode appearance.

Scavenger Park gameplay

Scavenger Park

Scavenger Park changes up the dynamics of hidden object games by adding a twist of home improvement-esque gameplay. As a park renovator, you must do whatever it takes to return the once-thriving Scavengerville to its former glory. To do so, you’ll need to locate a collection of items to rebuild destroyed buildings. Some structures can even be upgraded over time, making your parks much more visually pleasing.

Watching how much the town changes is the most satisfying part of Scavenger Park. At first, everything is pretty desolate until your fixes start improving the town altogether. Plus, you can follow a minor storyline to learn more about Scangerville residents.

Hidden Atlas: Anime Zen Project

When you first start Hidden Atlas: Anime Zen Project, it almost feels like you’re stepping into a beautifully drawn anime world. Most maps are littered with stunning pieces of Japanese architecture, along with some very kawaii characters. Additionally, the game is excellent for challenge seekers, as the difficulty increases with higher levels.

There’s a plethora of themes to delve into, from the mythical lands to the deep trenches of the sea. And if you’re up for the task, you can participate in a timed mode, quickening the pace of standard hidden object games. There’s also a Pair ‘Em Up mode, requiring players to find two of the same objects in its zen maps.
