What are heirlooms in Apex Legends?

Heirlooms refer to melee weapons that are uniquely designed for each Legend. Some heirloom weapons are straight out of the lore behind a Legend, such as Wraith’s Kunai, which was given to her by another Wraith from an alternate timeline. Then, there are heirloom weapons that are mainly inspired by the personality of an Apex Legend such as the “Too Much Witt” golden trophy heirloom for Mirage.

These heirloom weapons replace the standard melee weapon stance, running animations, and melee attack animations for each Legend, and offer unique animations. All heirlooms come in sets as well, offering one exclusive banner and intro quip alongside the heirloom.

How to get heirlooms in Apex Legends?

Heirlooms can be unlocked in Apex Legends by using 150 Heirloom Shards in the Mythic store. New heirlooms usually arrive with a limited-time event where players must unlock all 24 collection-event items, which automatically rewards them with the new heirloom.

To get Heirloom Shards, players have to open Apex Packs. There is a one out of 500 probability set by Respawn Entertainment, and if a player is unlucky enough to open 499 packs without packing Heirloom Shards, pack number 500 will guarantee 150 Heirloom Shards. This probability resets each time a player opens an Apex Pack with Heirloom Shards.

Fuse – Razor’s Edge

Undoubtedly one of the coolest heirlooms is Fuse’s electric guitar called Razor’s Edge. With blades coming out of the guitar’s edges, and fire, the heirloom represents Fuse’s personality.
