Meet the Agents.

Following the success of Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail, HoYoverse has added yet another free-to-play action RPG, Zenless Zone Zero, to its growing roster. As usual, the developer’s next title comes complete with its own roster of varied anime heroes to unlock.

Opting for an urban fantasy setting, Zenless Zone Zero sees you take control of a Proxy, whose job is to to guide people through the distorted dimensions known as Hollows. While the Proxy is your central protagonist, all the combat and Hollow exploration is handled by your Agents; fully playable units you unlock via a gacha mechanic, just like Genshin Impact‘s Wishes system and Honkai: Star Rail‘s Warps system.

Below is a complete list of all the playable Agents confirmed for Zenless Zone Zero so far. We’ll be sure to update this list whenever a new Agent is announced or added to the game.

Every playable Agent in Zenless Zone Zero

Anby Demara

A member of the Cunning Hares faction, Anby Demara fights foes with a sword and electric attacks. Described as a calm and collected individual who is efficient in combat, her past is a complete mystery. She’s also a movie buff, but apparently thinks parts of them are based on real events.

Anton Ivanov

Despite his intimidating appearance, Anton Ivanov is a kindhearted and reliable member of Belobog Heavy Industries. As an Electric Attribute Agent, Anton’s main weapon is a drill attached to his arm, which he uses to deal massive physical damage.

Alexandrina

Also known as Rina, this maid from Victoria Housekeeping is another Electric Attribute Agent who specializes in both Strike and Pierce type attacks, making her the only Agent so far with two fighting styles. With an air of elegance and delicateness, she nonetheless isn’t afraid to throw herself into a fight. Her weapons are the two dolls that float alongside her.

Ben Bigger

Believe it or not, this literal talking bear is a self-professed maths nerd and the head of finance at Belobog Heavy Industries. That said, he has no problem with smacking down foes with the large pillar he carries before going back to crunch numbers. Ben is also a Fire Attribute Agent.

Billy Kid

A Physical Attribute Agent and member of the Cunning Hares, Billy Kid battles with a pair of custom-made revolvers that deal piercing damage. He’s also a cyborg with a love for a TV show called Starlight Knight, to the point where he quotes lines from it and even proclaims to be a member of the Starlight Knights.

Corin Wickes

An apologetic young member of Victoria Housekeeping, Corin appears lacking in confidence and just seems perpetually nervous about her duties as a maid. Though she doesn’t look it, she can hold her own in combat using a specialized chainsaw to slash up enemies.

Ellen Joe

Although she seems she’d rather be anywhere else and is eager to avoid doing any work, Ellen Joe is a speed demon on the battlefield, slicing enemies to ribbons with a unique bladed weapon with a shark face painted on the end. She actually has a whole shark motif going on with her design. She belongs to Victora Housekeeping and is an Ice Attribute Agent.

Grace Howard

A member of Belobog Heavy Industries, Grace is described as caring, intelligent, and rational, and has an almost motherly affection for machinery. An Electric Attribute Agent, she wields what looks like a technologically advanced nail gun, capable of bludgeoning enemies or shooting them from a distance.

Hoshimi Miyabi

This fox-eared samurai is the head of Hollow Special Operations Section 6, and the successor of a renowned martial art family. Focused and disciplined, Miyabi takes her responsibilities very seriously, and her lightning fast slashes freeze foes, befitting her status as an Ice Attribute Agent. She also hopes to own a large collection of swords.

Koleda Belobog

Koleda is a feisty young girl with an explosive temper, yet still runs Belobog Heavy Industries as its president. Despite her stature, she’s deceptively strong, capable of wielding a giant hammer in battle, which can trigger explosions. Unsurprisingly, she’s a Fire Attribute Agent.

Nekomiya Mana

In case you couldn’t guess from her appearance and name, Nekomiya—also known by her nickname Nekomata—is a spirited yet mischievous cat girl belonging to the Cunning Hares. A lover of fish and pranks, she zips across the battlefield like a ninja, dealing slashing damage with her short sword and knives.

Nicole Demara

Possibly the most recognizable character in Zenless Zone Zero given how often she appears in promotional art, Nicole is the leader of the Cunning Hares. Though she may be cunning, her love for spending money means her group is constantly on the verge of bankruptcy. She carries a briefcase into battle that is actually a minigun, making it perfect for clobbering enemies up close or filling them with bullets from a distance.

Soldier 11

So much of Solider 11 is shrouded in mystery. It’s said she shed her name, along with her weaknesses, long ago, leaving only a model soldier who diligently follows orders. What we do know is that she’s part of the equally mysterious OBOLS Squad, and wields a sword in conjunction with fire-based attacks.

Soukaku

A member and ‘asset’ of Section 6, Soukaku is a small child who resembles an oni, a type of demon from Japanese folklore. She’s a lot cuter than how oni are usually depicted, though, and loves to eat, but she’s also described as uneducated, meaning she tends to mispronounce some words. Although she’s an Ice Attribute Agent, she can create vortexes of wind using her large bludgeon.

Von Lycaon

Unlike the other members of Victoria Housekeeping, Von Lycaon is a gentlemanly wolf butler who fights with ice-based attacks and his cybernetic shins, kicking and freezing foes. He comes across as reserved and orderly, but it’s suggested he keeps a far more feral side of his personality repressed.

Zhu Yuan

The leader of Public Security’s Criminal Investigation Special Response Team, not much is known about Zhu Yuan since, at the time of writing, she’s yet to be added to the game and has barely appeared in any trailers. What we do know is that she’s a gun wielder, peppering enemies with bullets either up close or at a distance.

Zenless Zone Zero will release for iOS, Android, PlayStation 5, and PC. It’s currently aiming for a 2024 launch.
