All character stats in Zenless Zone Zero and what they do

Below, you will find all the character stats in Zenless Zone Zero and what they do.

HPHealth – the standard health pool that you will be used to from every game.
ATKThis is how much damage an agent will deal with basic attacks, heavy attacks, Chain Attacks, and dodge attacks.
DEFDefense – This is your own damage reduction of incoming damage that you take from enemies.
ImpactAs you attack enemies, you can build up Daze on them, and when you hit 100% they will be Stunned. The more Impact you do, the quicker you can build that Daze.
Crit RateCritical hits will do increased damage, and this is the likelihood of any attack being a critical hit.
Crit DMGThe higher this is, the more Critical Damage you will do every time you score a critical hit.
PENThis is a really important stat, and should not be slept on. PEN essentially means Defense Penetration. Your enemies have defensive stats, too, and the higher this is, the greater the smount of that defense your own attacks will ignore.
PEN RatioPEN Ratio is an additional percentage of PEN that you can build in. This works off the base amount, so you can choose to either build the base pen, the Pen Ratio, or both to really double down on it for some fights.
Anomaly MasteryThis dictates how fast your Attribute Anomalies will build up on enemies. The higher the number, the faster the build-up will be.
Anomaly ProficiencyThis affects the damage your Anomaly Attribute will do when it goes off. The higher the number the greater the damage.
Energy RegenWhile in combat, your Agents will regenerate energy. The higher this number, the more energy they will gain each second.
Energy Regen RateThe higher this is, the faster energy is regenerated via the previous stat and from attack enemies.

How to increase your character stats

You can increase your stats by using Drive Disks. They are a type of equipment that you can get from playing through missions. They will give all manner of stat increases and come in sets that will have improved effects the more of them you use. The Drive Disks will increase main stats and also have sub-stats attached that get smaller benefits. There will also be Drive Disk Sets that work well with specific Attributes, so make sure you are trying to match them up with the right characters.

Once you get to grips with the stats that you can build up with Drives and W-Engines, you will also need to consider the fighting styles of your characters. Stun characters will benefit from Impact, while Anomaly characters will benefit greatly from those two related stats. Smart character building can really increase the effectiveness of your team.
