AEW Fight Forever aims to be an authentic title for All Elite Wrestling fans. There are unique AEW Fight Forever match types that aren’t available in the WWE 2K series, such as the Exploding Barbed Wire Death Match as well as a selection of intriguing Minigames to check out.

Here are all of the AEW Fight Forever match types available in-game.

AEW Fight Forever has some similar match types to WWE 2K23, but some of its features welcome more arcade-style gameplay. You can even use a skateboard to ride around the ring in the Lights Out Match type. Here’s a selection of all of the AEW Fight Forever match types. If any new game modes are added over updates, we’ll add them to the list.

1-on-1

  • Normal
  • Lights Out Match (No disqualifications, weapons allowed)
  • Falls Count Anywhere (Pinfalls count outside of the ring)

Other match types

  • 2-on-2
  • 3-Way Match
  • 4-Way Match
  • Casino Battle Royale (Eliminate opponents by throwing them out of the ring)
    • Group Suit (Four teams of five fight for supremacy)
    • Solo Suit
  • Exploding Barbed Wire Death Match (The ring is covered in electrified barbed wire, and barbed wire walls are by the top corners of the ring; the arena also explodes every 120 seconds)
  • Ladder Match
  • Stadium Stampede Battle Royale (free DLC)

Other AEW Fight Forever modes

There are more than just exhibition modes in AEW Fight ForeverFor example, there’s “Road to Elite”, which has the player choose a wrestler and guide them through the promotion’s ranks over the course of a year. Players can choose from a variety of roster members including Hikaru Shida, Chris Jericho, and Kenny Omega. Custom wrestlers are also available, and these can be used in Road to Elite.

  • Road To Elite (Career Mode)
  • Challenges (tasks that give you “AEW Cash” after completing them)
  • Shop (apparel, arena parts, wrestling moves, entrances, attires, and even wrestlers can be unlocked here with “AEW Cash”)
  • Minigames (minigames like Chip Gather, AEW Pop Quiz, and Penta Says are available)
  • Training
